MP joins Michael Chopra to launch UnLtd Sport Relief
KEVIN Brennan MP recently joined Cardiff City striker, Michael Chopra, in launching the UnLtd Sport Relief Project at the Millennium Stadium.
The project aims to provide opportunities for young people to bring communities together and to help promote understanding and solve problems through sport.
"This is fantastic scheme that allows young people between the ages of 11-21 to set up their own sport project for the benefit of their community," said Kevin.
"The funding is supplied by Comic Relief and providing you are in the age category and your project will help the community you can claim up to £10,000.
"I will certainly be encouraging young people in Cardiff West to consider setting up their own sports project.
"In Cardiff West we have a fine sporting tradition from Fairwater's rugby great Terry Holmes to Ely's legendary footballer Ryan Giggs.
"Perhaps a project setup through this UnLtd Sport Relief scheme could unearth some sporting talent that might otherwise have gone unoticed.
"As a Cardiff City supporter it was also great to see Michael Chopra and Stephen McPhail attend the launch of this scheme and back this extremely worth while project."
