FAIRWATER Leisure Centre kicked off its 25th Anniversary celebrations with a special bowls event for the local community.Cardiff West MP Kevin Brennan and Rhodri Morgan AM were some of the guests that were invited to the event and both were delighted to take part in some of the games taking place.
"It was a great way for Fairwater Leisure Centre to start its anniversary celebrations," said Kevin.
"Bowls is a popular sport amongst local residents and so events like these are important to remind people that the leisure centre has some fantastic facilities.
"I was asked to take part in some of the games and was more than grateful to receive some expert tips from local residents.
"Fairwater Leisure Centre has been an excellent facility for the local community and surrounding areas and I hope it continues to provide an excellent service."
