CARDIFF West’s Kevin Brennan MP and Mark Drakeford AM are backing Hafal’s Movin’ On Up campaign which aims to maximise the opportunities created by the Welsh Government’s new Mental Health Strategy.The local MP and AM recently visited Hafal’s campaign event at Ysgubor Fawr at the Museum of Welsh Life in St Fagans celebrated the campaign with a shrub sale and cake competition.
Speaking after the event, Kevin Brennan and Mark Drakeford said: “Hafal’s users and their families are engaging in the development and implementation of the Assembly’s new Mental Health Strategy ensuring that it is recovery based and empowers the user.
“It is allowing people to be more active in their treatment by negotiating robust care and treatment plans which address all areas of life.
"Events like today really play a major part in letting people with mental illness know the options and benefits this new mental health meassure brings.
