KEVIN Brennan MP and Mark Drakeford AM have welcomed the Lottery funding which will breathe new life into Insole Court and help it become an important community hub for activities.
The £4.5 million project, which includes £761,724 of lottery funding, will see a new visitors’ centre being built, a community centre and tea rooms. The overall project will also see the stables repaired and upgraded.
In a joint statement welcoming the move, Kevin Brennan and Mark Drakeford said:
"Insole Court has already proved to be important asset in Cardiff West providing a library and hub for groups like the 50+ club and Llandaff Croquet Club.
"The lottery grant, which is funding part of the £4.5 million project, will now enable Insole Court to provide an even bigger range of community, education and social enterprise activities.
"The money will be spent on a new visitors centre and community centre which we hope proves to be a great asset for local community groups and schools in Cardiff West.
"We have always backed Insole Court in applications for funding and we are pleased to see it come to fruition and look forward to visiting this community asset once the work has been completed."
