| Kevin Brennan MP for Cardiff West was visited in London on Wednesday by Cllr Ramesh Patel and his wife Kaz to attend Diwali celebrations. Diwali, the Hindu Festival of Light, which symbolises new beginnings for Hindus, was celebrated with a reception in the House of Commons. The Reception was attended by many Peers, MPs and their constituents and a visit by the Prime Minister was one of the highlights of the afternoon. Theresa May also attended as a substitute for Iain Duncan Smith. The event is organised by a group of Peers and MPs from all parties, and is an annual occurrence. |
