Cardiff West MP Hits Right Note With Music Legend
Cardiff West MP Hits Right Note With Music Legend Former Undertones lead singer, Feargal Sharkey, broke a 20 year singing silence to join Cardiff West MP Kevin Brennan on stage this week. Feargal Sharkey sang the rock classic “Teenage Kicks” with Parliamentary band MP4 at the annual music industry ‘Rock The Boat’ event in Westminster. Said MP4 guitarist, Kevin Brennan: “Feargal hasn’t sung publicly for 20 years having left the stage to work behind the scenes to promote live music. This event was to launch his report on the new Licensing Act’s impact on live music. “I was delighted when he agreed to join us for an encore, and I hope we didn’t massacre “Teenage Kicks” when we backed him! Fortunately Feargal is a good sport with a great sense of humour”. Feargal Sharkey also enjoyed huge solo success in the 1980s with his international hit “A Good Heart”. Feargal said: “Playing with MP4 was the high spot of my long and illustrious career”. |
