Kevin welcomes increased rail investment in the Cardiff area

Cardiff MP Welcomes Rail Investment

Cardiff West MP Kevin Brennan has welcomed Network Rail’s £200 million investment in the Cardiff area over the next 6 years.

This investment includes improving the City Line in Cardiff West between Radyr and Cardiff Central via Ninian Park, with increased train provision and seating capacity across the network. He also welcomed developments within Cardiff Central and Queen Street stations improving disabled access and increasing the number of platforms.

Mr Brennan:

“This will benefit not only my constituents, through the development of the City Line, but Cardiff as a whole. The investment is necessary to support the continued growth of Cardiff into the 21^st century, promoting Welsh business and further direct investment in Cardiff.”
