Immigration Minister agrees to personally look at Cardiff's Bashir Naderi case

Debate on Refugees: Age Identification (October 31, 2016)

Kevin Brennan MP: Bashir Naderi, who is 19, was trafficked to the UK at the age of 10 from Afghanistan after his father was murdered by the Taliban. I understand that this afternoon he was on his way to Gatwick to be removed from the country but that that has now been stopped. Will the Home Secretary accept my plea and that of my hon. Friend the Member for Cardiff Central (Jo Stevens), whose constituent Bashir is, to intervene urgently to stop this removal?

Robert Goodwill (Minister for Immigration): Although it would be inappropriate for me to comment on individual cases, I am aware of this case. It is on my desk at present.
